When you ask me who I am, I am my parents’ son. They were hardworking Ohioans who established congregational houses of worship, built homes, and cared for other people’s children, all in Congressional District 2.
Sequentially I am a multigenerational- and lifetime-constituent of our district, the proud pupil of public schools from pre-kindergarten through graduate school, and an employee relations administrator by profession.
As an Independent, nonpartisan U.S. Representative, I will do the job with well-thought resolve: my team’s highest priority is to enact the socialwage, a minimum wage that rises with gross national productivity—what nationals make worldwide—and where working people are paid immediately after each shift of work rather than bi-weekly. If our national minimum wage had increased at the same rate of incomes going to the top 1 percent of taxpayers, it would have reached over $33-an-hour in 2007. That’s $264.00 or more being deposited each day for most wage earners.
I am a three-time Cincinnati graduate:
- Master, Employee Relations & Human Resources, National Honors in Economics
- Baccalaureate, Organizational Leadership & Industrial Psychology, National Honors in Psychology
- Associate, Behavioral Science, National Honors in Leadership
As Youth Employment Counselor for Clermont Manpower Consortium from 1980 to 1983, I initiated and operated policy for youth training and skills development. I led the successful effort to prevent development of the Milford flood plain in the 1990s and 2000s, site of New Finley Ray Park and Valley View Nature Preserve today. I presided as Grand Jury Foreman from 2000 to 2001, hearing a multitude of cases, including one resulting in an Ohio state law bringing tougher punishments to adults who murder minors.
I coached community sports from 1980 to 2005 and have been an active environmentalist my entire career without apology. I have been on both sides of the negotiating table with employees and have hired thousands of people for good-paying jobs in my 42 years of professional experience.
I engaged hundreds more Ohioans in the nonpartisan efforts to cohere nonpartisan districts in 2012 and Take A Stand On Social Security in 2016. I serve as AARP Precinct Captain and mobilize at polls in full-force for retirement security.
I will never forget where I am from!
